PRENATAL VITAMINS AND SKINCARE

Blog- Prenatal Vitamins & Skincare .001.jpg

I planned to blog the whole way through my pregnancy but somehow got to busy with work etc so I’m catching up now. So I thought I’d share my pregnancy skincare and beauty tips.

I was terrified I’d get loads of stretch marks and due to the nature of my work would not be good! So I religiously slathered on a cocktail combo of 3 and sometimes 4 products.

Here are my favourites, for my tum I used the Mama Mio Tummy Rub Butter which is full of super-elasticising Omega-packed organic oils in an organic Shea Butter, then for my hips, legs and thighs, I used Palmers Stretch Mark Cream and for my boobies the fabulous Vitamin E oil from Bio Oil. And if I was feeling extra indulgent I’d use Dr Haschuska Blackthorn Body toning oil which has medicinal ingredients that help to maintain the tone and elasticity of the skin and aid in the prevention of stretch marks.

Now, I know that's a cocktail of products but magically I have no stretch marks! Which is really important for me as I’m a lingerie and swimwear model.

It’s also not just the outside that counts. It was really important for me to take Prenatal Vitamins with Folic acid preconception and throughout my pregnancy. I love the Viridian products and to get my extra Omega’s I took the Bump & Glory Omega 3 Fish Oil Capsules. And they’re mercury free. I’m sure this helped with morning sickness.

On that note, it’s important to eat little and often. Although I must say strong smelling food was a no-no for me in the beginning. Let's just say my diet consisted of cheese( hard cheeses ) and crackers for quite some time...:)

Let me know if you have any other pregnancy beauty tips & secrets? I’d love to hear about them.
